The Story of L'Nai Cade's journey to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.

Our Story

Although the name might be confusing at first glance, After Life Massage was named on the foundation of healing.

The owner of After Life Massage, L'Nai Cade, is known for many things--from her long hair and contagious smile, to a running joke about her horrible proprioception. Due to her sweet disposition, most couldn't fathom the stories she could tell when explaining her desire to heal and how massage was a step toward a new life.
 

October of 2018 changed her life when her marriage fell apart. For a moment, it felt like the world was crashing down around her, but it was in that moment that she realized she had to make a change to better herself. She had always been a fighter and it was time for her to face her next opponent.

To win against her newest challenger, she had to make drastic changes. Changes to herself, changes to her life, and changes to the world around her. She left behind the toxicity that came from the naysayers and began surrounding herself with the people who would support her next step in life.

Though hard, she left behind her business of seven years and decided to find a new career that would benefit her and the life she wanted down the line. By January 2019, less than four months after she felt her world collapsing, she was seated among many others who sought a new profession in massage.

Though worried that she might fail and a few emotional hiccups in the beginning, she put everything she had into succeeding...and succeed she did!

August of 2019, she passed the MBLEX early of her graduation date, and on September of 2019, at the Bellevue Massage School, she was handed her Certification of Completion. Only a week later, she was licensed in the state of WA, finally giving her the title of  Licensed Massage Therapist.

Since that day, she has worked hard to build her business, After Life Massage, traveling across King and Snohomish county to provide mobile massage to help others heal both physically and mentally. As of July of 2023, she now has a physical location as well in the city of Kirkland.

As for the joke behind the business name, beyond a play on words, L'Nai Cade has an online presence as a hobby gamer, where people know her by her username on a few popular streaming platforms. When her friends and followers found out about her goal to open a new business, they wanted her to name it after her online username, which correlates with the undead and zombies.

 

As people continued to throw around names, all of which were mostly in jest,

a thought came to mind. After some back and forth, After Life Massage was born.
Not only did it tie in with her online presence, but it fit well with her vision and goals for the business. 

After everything life can throw at us, sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves, both mentally and physically, is turn to massage.
 

                     Life leaves us with aching bodies,
